THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING – August 28, 2008

Posted on August 28, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

It’s my guess that millions of people all around the world, but especially in America and Kenya, watched Obama’s majestic ceremony to accept the DNC’s nomination for president of the United States. Eighty-five thousand people came to Invesco Stadium to be a part of American history being made. Giant video screens displayed every glittering moment. American flags waved triumphantly behind the speakers, the stars for the night – Obama’s night. His acceptance speech was followed by an awesome fireworks display, confetti and ticker tape in red, white and blue. What an amazing night.

After the event came to its conclusion and the people left the stadium, thoughts began to fill my mind. Thoughts of our first president, General George Washington, the father of our nation. He was first a lieutenant colonel fighting skirmishes that lead to the French and Indian War, then an aide to Gen. Braddock. He had four bullets rip through his coat and two horses shot from underneath him, yet escaped injury. He was a planter in Virginia and served in the Virginia House of Burgesses during the American Revolution. The Continental Congress appointed him Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army, which he led to victory.

Finally, he was UNANIMOUSLY elected our first President of the newly formed government of the United States of America. He was enthusiastically re-elected to a second term, but refused to accept a third.

President George Washington was offered a monarchy, BUT REFUSED TO BE KING.

He understood that this democracy that underpins our hard-won freedom was not about one man. It was about the truth that “all men are created equal.” Founding father Washington saw a danger in elevating one man beyond the common man.

I’m sure that Pres. Washington attended inaugural ceremonies on his behalf, but I’m equally certain that he would never have planned for himself anything of the magnitude we saw tonight. And even though General, statesman and President George Washington COULD HAVE BEEN KING, he possessed a humility that would not allow it. He saved us all from loosing that freedom that we so cherish today.

Yes, Obama knew that he was making history, but certainly no more so than the history made by first President of the newly formed United States of America, George Washington.

THERE IS NO MORE TIME TO DO NOTHING.

BEWARE OF GREEKS BEARING GIFTS!!! – August 28, 2008

Posted on August 28, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

The ONE we have been waiting for is finally appearing tonight in a Greek Temple type of structure constructed at his request, by the company that constructs stages for Brittany Spears. I don’t know if the ONE will be wearing a crown of gold or laurel, but it will certainly be a coronation.

For months, the ONE has been telling the poor that he understands how they sit around their kitchen table, if they are fortunate enough to have one in this terrible economy, wondering how they will feed their family, buy gas to drive to work, if they are lucky enough to have a job, and send their kids to college. But the ONE has come and spared no expense – millions of dollars to move the convention finale to a stadium, build a Greek temple, and sweep it with secret service.

The court of the ONE disputes the Greek Temple description, saying that Obama wanted the stage to resemble the Lincoln Memorial where Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech 45 years ago today.

“I cannot swallow whole the view of Lincoln as the Great Emancipator.” Barack Hussein Obama

Why cast doubt on Lincoln’s legacy? Oh, yeah. Lincoln was a Republican.

The ONE did say one thing I can agree with.

“I’m so overexposed, I’m making Paris Hilton look like a recluse.” Barack Hussein Obama

While we’re talking about quotes, remember the old saying, “Beware of Greeks bearing gifts.”

I’d like to add one of my own. “Because they may not be able to deliver.”

There is no more time to do nothing.

CHANGE IN AMERICA – August 27, 2008

Posted on August 27, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

What kind of changes do Democrats plan for America? They made plenty of plans for their national convention in Denver, Colorado, one being their own form of Gitmo not on Guantanamo Bay. Prayer rugs and Korans will probably not be afforded detainees, but they will have access to bathrooms, water, medical staff, and phones. They will be given contact numbers for the ACLU and People’s Law Project and will be able to make free local calls and long distance collect or calling cards.

http://cbs4denver.com/reference/denver.protesters.arrested.2.794625.html

City officials insist they don’t have a mandatory arrest policy for violations. It will be at the descretion of the police officer to ask for voluntary compliance, deliver a warning, issue a citation OR MAKE AN ARREST BASED ON THE TOTALITY OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES. In the context of peaceful demonstrations where state or city law is violated, ARRESTS ARE A LAST OPTION – USED WHEN ALL OTHER OPTIONS HAVE BEEN EXHAUSTED OR SAFETY CONCERNS ARE INVOLVED.

Unless you are an ABC News producer with camera crew on a public sidewalk in Denver during the Democrats’ National Convention, taking pictures of Democrat Senators and VIP donors leaving a private meeting at the Brown Palace Hotel. Asa Eslocker and his colleagues were investigating the role of corporate lobbyists and wealthy donors at the convention for a series called Money Trail on ABC’s World News with Charles Gibson.

Asa found himself being shoved into the street with traffic by a gruff police officer and then grabbed by the neck and cuffed. Watch the video and decide if this is the “CHANGE” you want in America.

I’m appalled! If they’re not doing anything illegal in the Brown Palace Hotel, why do they mind being photographed coming and going there? This wasn’t a case of out-of-control paparrazi!

I didn’t want to post a video with a vulgar word in it, but you really should see how the police struck a woman during a demonstration at the DNC convention. Be warned: one vulgar word.

We can at least be thankful these protests were nothing like those in Kenya.

There is no more time to do nothing.

Obama Mocks the Bible – August 27, 2008

Posted on August 27, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

The Democrats’ National Convention opened this week and their first official event was an inter-faith service Sunday. Obama is trying to win the votes of the evangelicals who have been solidly Republican, in part because Republcans are pro-life, want to keep the definition of marriage as that between one man and one woman, and support family values to a greater degree than Democrats.

Obama also wants to erase the general suspicion that he is Muslim. He has repeatedly said that he is a committed Christian. If he is, he’s not like any Christian I’ve ever known. Real Christians realize that no one is a Christian just because they say so or just because they believe in Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that Satan believes in Jesus, has actually talked with Jesus, knows Jesus is the Son of God.

Matthew 4: 1 – 11

(5) “Then the devil taketh Him up into the holy city, and setteth Him on a pinnacle of the temple,

(6) And saith unto Him, if Thou be the Son of God, cast Thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning Thee…

(10) Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”

I don’t believe that anyone thinks Satan/the Devil is a Christian nor that he is going to heaven. In fact, the Bible says that the devil will be cast into the lake of fire, along with everyone whose name was not written in the book of life. Rev. 20:10,15

To be a true Christian, you must meet certain criteria set forth by Jesus in the third chapter of John in the New Testament. A true Christian believes Jesus, when He said, “Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, AND HIM ONLY SHALT THOU SERVE.”

This does not come through in Obama’s speeches. Listen to Obama mock the Bible in public.

The evangelicals will have a difficult time swallowing this cock-eyed definition of Christianity and/or the re-definition of America, and the re-interpretation of our Constitutional rights to govern ourselves “OUR WAY”. If the majority of Americans are Christians, then we have the right to decide that we want our laws to reflect our morals.

If you don’t believe that, then what will you do about murder, rape, assault? Those things are immoral. There have been societies that allowed such things, not considering them illegal at all. Extremist Muslims come to mind, or Saddam Hussein’s regime, for instance. We don’t because we were founded on Judeo-Christian principles which came straight from the Ten Commandments.

If Obama is elected, he WILL CHANGE AMERICA.

There is no more time to do nothing.

Obama’s Foreign Policy – August 25, 2008

Posted on August 25, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Obama lacks understanding of foreign policy and here’s some proof.

He thinks American Presidents don’t meet with the likes of Ahmedinajad of Iran because they are trying to punish them! Absurd. It’s easy for most people to see that you don’t meet with people like that because it has serious ramifications.

These deranged leaders are clearly not rational, normal or rooted in the concept of right and wrong. They lie. They imprison those who disagree with them. They murder, or have their hit squads murder. They deny their citizens the basic freedoms that all humans should have. They enrich themselves and care not that their constituents are poor. They are power hungry and will do anything to gain power, to the detriment of their people. They are dangerous to the rest of the world, especially if they are building nuclear weapons. Some may not even be sane. They say crazy things as if they believe them. Ahmedinajad says the holocaust never happened. Ghadaffi says America is a dictatorship, not a democracy.

In a negotiation with one of these lunatics, America can only loose. These people lie and make promises they don’t intend to keep. America can’t trust them. So what is America supposed to do after negotiating, getting the big lie and then what? Why negotiate with someone you know you can’t trust or believe? It’s ridiculous.

Obama says we have the obligation to talk to these murderous power-hungry liars so we can move forward. To where? Who’s moving forward? We don’t move forward by dealing with murderers or accepting lies or trusting evil. Obama sounds naive or crazy himself. America goes forward without tyrants and dictators. The people whose freedom is denied by these tyrants and dictators can’t move forward.

When the likes of Ahmedinajad threatens other countries while building nuclear weapons, they must be told, and not necessarily in person, “Stop threatening and stop building nuclear weapons because you just might convince other countries that you mean it and they will drop a few well-placed bombs on you first.” That should do it. If it doesn’t, then they sealed their own fate, suffered the consequences of their own deplorable actions.

America does not have to feel responsible for saving these tyrants from themselves. Why does Obama have such compassion for them? They would kill him in a heartbeat, if it served their purpose.

Obama said he thinks it’s a disgrace that we haven’t spoken to these despots. Well, thinking of the people he’s surrounded himself with throughout his adult life, I don’t wonder.

He foolishly says that “We need to send a signal that we need to talk to Iran and Syria because they’re going to have responsibilities if Iraq collapses. They have been acting irresponsibly up until this point, but if we tell them that we are not going to be a permanent occupying force, we are in a position to say that they are going to have to carry some weight in terms of stabilizing the region.”

Does he not know that Iran was at war with Iraq for eight years before America went in? Iran did much to destablize that very region. Now Obama is just going to tell them to carry some weight in stablizing the region they helped destablize! Does Obama not realize that Syria funneled weapons and fighters into Iraq to keep it unstable? Iran and Syria don’t want a stable Iraq. They definitely don’t want a democracy in Iraq. Iran is destabilizing a region far wider than Iraq by threatening Israel.

Obama is severely lacking in foreign policy skills, even in understanding lunatic dictators and tyrants. He is a terrible judge of character, unless he likes hateful, criminal minds. Once again, I think of the people Obama has surrounded himself with all of his adult life.

There is no more time to do nothing.

Ties Between Obama and Col. Ghadaffi – August 24, 2008

Posted on August 24, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , |

Birds of a feather flock together. You can judge a person by the friends he/she keeps.Pastor Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s mentor for twenty plus years, accompanied greats like Jessie Jackson and Louis Farrakhan on a trip to Libya where they visited Col. Muammar Qhadaffi in 1984. Qhadaffi presided as a brutal dictator of a terrorist state. In 1988 Libya was responsible for blowing up Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland with a suitcase bomb killing 270 people and in 1989, blowing up UTA Flight 772 as it flew over the North African desert killing 240 people.

“On a 1984 trip to meet with the Libyan dictator (and America’s arch enemy) Muammar Qadhafi, Farrakhan  was accompanied by none other than Jeremiah A. Wright.”

When you think of Wright, Farrakhan and Jackson sitting down with Qhadaffi for a conversation of any kind, remember the following video:

(Remember that Qhadaffi is thought to be a nut, literally, and is known to lie and get the facts all wrong.  Don’t believe what he says.  Do your own research on any topic that he discusssed.)

Obama Sells Chrysler to Italy and Col. Qhadaffi

Should anyone be surprised that Pres. Obama was silent about Qhadaffi and the uprising in Libya?  Obama was quick to condemn Mubarek of Egypt, who kept the peace with Israel and prevented Iranian warships from travelling through the Suez Canal to cruise the Mediterranean and dock near the Israeli border.

Stranger yet, Obama sold war weapons and hardware to Egypt like no one before him, then called for Mubarek’s overthrow? Was he worried about who’s hands these weapons would fall into or against whom they might be used?   Suspecting that a Mubarek (peace keeper with Israel) might be replaced with die-hard Israel haters someday, the arms sale at alarming levels is more than puzzling.  It’s downright frightening, especially for Israel.  They must feel “sold out” by their old ally, America.  Perhaps they’re right.

Sen. Joe Biden VP Running Mate with Obama – August 22, 2008

Posted on August 22, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Fox announced Friday night at about 11:45 p.m. CT that Barack Obama chose Sen. Joe Biden to be his running mate. Biden is remembered for his “mouth” problems, recently saying the following about Barack Obama:

“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

Huh? Is he saying that there has never been an African-American who is articulate, or bright, clean, or nice-looking, or all of these? How insulting to other African-American politicians, and all African-Americans. Well, he apologized and Obama accepted, obviously.

During a conversation with an Indian-American political activist, Biden said:

“In Delaware, the largest growth of population is Indian-Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7/11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.”

In 2002, he supported going to war in Iraq. After the deed was done, he was against it. He opposed the troop surge, but wanted to continue military operations agsinst Al-Qaeda and other insurgents in Anbar Province. It doesn’t seem right to support going to war in Iraq, as did many other Democrats, and then criticizing Bush after he did it. It’s like saying, “Yea, yea, do it.” And then when you do it, “Shame on you for doing that.” Watch Biden from now on to catch future gaffes. They are always interesting and entertaining.

The Chicago Tribune announced online Obama’s choice of Joe Biden and gave us a little background on Biden.

“For Biden, 65, the choice amounts to something like a political resurrection, one that took nothing less than 20 years, and one that has seen him evolve from firebrand to party statesman.

Buried for dead as a national candidate for office after a plagiarism scandal forced his exit from the presidential race in 1988…

His inclination to speak his mind, regardless of the talking points, could pose a hazard down the line if and when Biden departs from the script. And with 35 years in the Senate, his presence on the ticket does nothing for Obama’s contention that his presidential bid marks a new era in American politics.

His quote about GOP candidate Rudolph Giuliani saying nothing more than “a noun and a verb and 9/11 echoed in political circles. ..

He has proven to be a reliable moderate on crime issues–particularly where narcotics are concerned–and was a principal author of the 1994 crime bill that placed 100,000 more police officers on the streets through a federal grant program. That bill also expanded the reach of the federal death penalty.”

One of his three children, a son, Hunter, age 38, is a Washington lobbyist. I seem to remember Obama declaring war on lobbyists in the early days of his campaign. He vowed never to take money from one, even though he reportedly has. He spoke of lobbyists as if they were criminals, even though the Constitution guarantees citizens access to their representatives to plead their cause.

Obama trounced McCain for being older, yet selected Biden at age 65. Obama spoke negatively about lobbyists, yet selected Biden whose son is a Washington lobbyist. When Obama speaks off-script or without the aid of a monitor, he talks himself into a mess, and the same holds true of Biden. Here, Obama has doubled his trouble. Obama gives long boring answers and speeches, as evidenced by his performance at Saddleback Church fielding questions from Pastor Rick Warren. Biden “has a penchant for extended and embellished oratory – delivered in a manner that could have listeners glancing at their watches.” Chicago Tribune Online In his 1988 bid for president, Biden was asked by a reporter about his law school record, to which he embellished his record quite a bit. He was later called on it and had to correct the record.

Barck Hussein Obama Involved in Kenya’s Presidential Campaigns – August 20, 2008

Posted on August 21, 2008. Filed under: ALERT!, birth certificate, Capitalism, Christianity, Clinton, Communism, Constitution, Democrats, Dictator, Freedom, Freedom of Speech, Obama, Socialism, terrorism, U.S. Government, Uncategorized | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , |

This was originally posted August 20, 2008 before Obama was elected President of the United States of America.  It was the author’s strongest desire that the American people would learn of Obama’s radical beliefs and behaviors and refuse to elect him to the most powerful office in the world.  That did not happen, in part because the news media did not report things that would harm Obama’s election chances.   It is still important to learn who and what Barack Hussein Obama is, believes and works to achieve.  Put all the puzzle pieces together and pray that the hidden pieces are soon revealed.  Spread the word – the truth.

While campaigning for president for himself in the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama  campaigned for Raila Odinga for president of Kenya in the 2007 election there. Raila Odinga is the founder of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and campaigned for “Change”. Have you heard that somewhere else? Yes, of course. It’s Barack Hussein Obama’s biggest motto. Just for fun, visit Raila Odinga’s web site at http://www.raila07.com/. Notice that he is an “agent for change”, and he asks citizens to “register for change” and “vote for change”. Sounds very familiar to Americans.  (UPDATE:  RAILA ODINGA NO LONGER HAS THE WEBSITE REFERRENCED ABOVE, SINCE THE ELECTION WAS HELD.)

What else does Obama and Odinga have in common? They are both from the Kenyan Luo Tribe. Obama has visited his father’s home land in Kenya three times. He’s met his relatives and taken the lay of the land. He knows the differences between the tribes. His last trip as a United States Senator was taxpayer funded. Official U.S. business should not have included backing one or the other candidate in their race unless our government officially took a stand and sent him to represent it, which wasn’t the case here.

Obama spoke out against the sitting government while on their soil and was seen with Raila Odinga, looking very friendly. Speaking against their current government would make President Kibaki feel that Obama didn’t support his campaign for re-election. Speaking favorably of Odinga and being quite friendly toward him while appearing in public with him, would make Odinga and Kibaki feel that Obama supported Odinga. Obama now says he did not promote Odinga’s candidacy while in Kenya. The following video records Obama’s presence in Kenya, with Raila and seems to substantiate the claim that he campaigned for, or at the least, promoted Odinga during their pre-election season.   Notice the CNN logo at the bottom of lots of footage.  It was reported overseas by CNN, but how much did Americans hear about it here?

The Kenyan government was upset with Obama for interfering in their elections and spoke out about it. Jerome Corsi’s book, “Obama Nation” says that Dick Morris, a former Clinton campaign strategist also went to Kenya to help Raila Odinga win the election.   In the following video, Odinga says that he saw Morris when he went to New York and was thrilled that Morris agreed to help his campaign.  Morris says that he promised to do this pro bono – FREE!!!  The question is, “WHY?”

When Odinga did not win, he claimed that the election results were falsified or tampered with and called for protests. Odinga’s supporters of the Luo Tribe were so outraged that they went on murderous rampages, killing, raping, beating, hacking and chopping with machetes, and even beheading five people. Their victims were of the Kikuyu Tribe, the same as the re-elected President Kibaki. They burned churches, including an Assembly of God church where 35 to 50 people, including children, were burned alive. Those that tried to escape were beaten and hacked.

Morturary interview after Eldoret A/G Church mass murders PLEASE LISTEN CLOSELY TO THIS TWO-MINUTE AUDIO!

http://www.rfi.fr/actuen/articles/101/article_232.asp

Notice in the previous video at :55 seconds to 1:05, the reporter states that Odinga had garnered support in the nation’s two slum areas by promising the poor that he would redistribute the wealth more evenly.  Sounds like Obama in America.    These two have much in common.  Odinga has been labeled a Socialist/Communist.

The next videos are upsetting and difficult to watch because they document the aftermath of the election when Odinga did not win. One video spotlights the actions of the Luo Tribal gang who calls themselves the Taliban.  (This video has disappeared.  It doesn’t come up in a search of YouTube anymore.)

When the reporter says, “her husband was panga’ed, he refers to the machete, called “panga” in Kenya. The woman’s husband was killed with a machete.  (This video no longer appears in a YouTube search.)

Notice that water cannons are used to disperse the crowd. It doesn’t kill,  just makes it impossible for crowds to stand and cause harm to others. The army points their weapons up not at the protestors.  You don’t see anyone in the crowd fall.  The news reporter seems to think the army is using excessive force, but with so much killing in the streets and much of it with machetes, water cannons and firing in the air seems tame.

I watched many videos of the unrest and violence in Kenya resulting from the disputed election and Odinga’s refusal to accept the outcome. Almost all of them, from a variety of sources, including Reuters News Agency, BBC News, and CNN News, cite Odinga for calling for the protests and inciting his tribe, the Luos, to take matters into their own hands, which they did. Keep in mind that the Kikuyu Tribe is the tribe of the incumbent president Kibaki. It is his people being routed out of their homes, killed, raped and murdered by the Luo Tribe of Raila Odinga (also Barack Obama’s tribe).

Who burns Christian churches and murders Christians, even children? Atheists and Muslims. Kenya is reported to be 80% Christian and 10% Muslim. Odinga signed an agreement with Muslims for changes he would make in their favor, once in a position of power.

With all the resulting riots, rampages, death and anarchy, the international community put pressure on the re-elected Kibaki to stop the violence. To satisfy the internationals, re-elected President Kibaki created the office of Prime Minister for Raila Odinga, a power-share not in Kenya’s constitution.

Although he accepted the position, this is not what Odinga wanted. He called for Kibaki to hold new elections, in which Odinga expected to win and hold the presidency in full power.

Listen to Obama’s speech at the University of Nairobi and ask the question, “Did his speech play any part in the way Odinga’s supporters reacted to Odinga’s election loss?” Did he help make them dissatisfied with the current “corrupt government and police force” and did he say anything that made them unwilling to accept the election results?  In the next video, the last minute is important.  (3:05 to 4:00 minutes)

It’s bad enough that a U.S. Senator got involved in the democratic elections of Kenya, but what followed was horrendous and Obama’s name will forever be associated with those events. Why did he choose one side over the other? Was it loyalty to his own Luo Tribe? Odinga is pretty far left on the political scale. He named his son, Fidel, after Fidel Castro. He seems a strange choice to curry Obama’s favor, except for sharing the same tribal blood in his veins as Obama. It’s anyone’s guess what will happen next or what role Barack Obama, a Luo tribe member living in America, would play in Kenya’s future, if elected president of the U.S.

I, for one, am praying that he is NEVER the president of the United States. He has far too many leftists, Marxists, Communists, terrorists, Muslims, and dangerous people in his circle of acquaintances, and even close friends. IS THAT MERELY A COINCIDENCE? I RATHER DOUBT IT.

There is no more time to do nothing.

Global Cooling – August 19, 2008

Posted on August 19, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.milenio.com%2Fmexico…

(unfortunately, the above link no longer exists)

The above article is one of many predicting global cooling. In fact, this one predicts a little ice age in about ten years which could last anywhere from sixty to eighty years. I would be very skeptical of an ice age, except that Al Gore and Company has been forcing “earth cooling techniques” on us for the last decade and we just may have done it!

Will Al Gore receive a Nobel Prize for shoving us into an ice age? It would be his fault, if he’s lied to us, falsified so called scientific presentations and spent millions upon millions changing our lifestyles to bring the earth’s temperatures down. He isn’t God. He hasn’t the foggiest idea how to rule the complexities of the earth’s atmosphere and weather. It’s proven to be a balance that has held together forever. With no degree in science or meterology, or atmospheric subjects, Gore has no expertise strong enough to “mess with the earth’s balanced atmosphere and weather.

If society and industries suffer loss due to global cooling or an ice age, I strongly urge them to sue Al Gore personally and every other partner in this crime for all those millions they made off the global warming scam.

If you doubt the validity of this global cooling report, just rely on the fact that a scientist is saying it. That’s exactly what Gore does. Even though it’s not true, Gore says that because some scientists say it, then ALL scientists say it. So, because this and other scientists say the globe is cooling, then, like Gore, let’s claim that ALL scientists believe in global cooling.

But wait, the very existence of this scientist’s report advocating global cooling proves that Al Gore and company are not being truthful when they say that ALL scientists believe the earth is warming. Now we have to find a reason to select which scientists we will believe and which ones we won’t. Gore believes the ones that support his money-making business plans.

Velasco Herrera first predicted that an ice age could begin in thirty to forty years, then in ten years, then in perhaps as soon as two years and in July, he said it may have already begun. Does this prove that Al Gore has successfully reduced the earth’s temperature? Perhaps now, Gore should proclaim success, receive another Nobel Prize and advocate that we all stop our efforts to reduce the earth’s temperature before we throw ourselves into an ice age.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,333328,00.html

Fox News reported in February, 2008 that four major global temperature tracking outlets have released data showing that temperatures have dropped significantly over the last year. Anthony Watts, a California meteorologist, says that the amount of cooling ranges from 65-hundreths to 75-hundreths of a degree Centigrade. This could erase nearly all of the global warming recorded over the past one hundred years and is the single fastest temperature change ever recorded – UP OR DOWN! Brit Hume, Fox News, 2/28/2008

What many scientists and meterologists are saying is that the computer models which predict global warming are not considering solar activity, relying completely on mathematical models. Scientists link the cooling to reduced solar activity which is a much larger driver of climate change than man-made greenhouse gases, which seems to be born out by the dramatic cooling seen in the last twelve months. http://www.dailytech.com/Temperature+Monitors+Report+Widescale+Global+Cooling…

“Famed Hurricane Forecaster William Gray Predicts Global Cooling in 10 Years”, by Jeff Poor, Business & Media Institute, 3/4/2008 http://www.businessandmedia.org/printer/2008/20080304113132.aspx There is no concensus among scientists on global warming. Al Gore IS WRONG, Gray, a professor at Colorado State University, told the audience at the 2008 International Conference on Climate Change on March 4, in New York. He says that a natural cycle of ocean water temps related to the salinity in ocean water was responsible for some global warming and that same cycle will produce a cooling period in the next ten years.

Now we have scientists crediting solar activity, ocean water temps and ocean water salinity for climate change and pointing out the existence of cycles increasing and decreasing earth’s temperatures.

What can be said about a nation fighting global warming when the planet is actually cooling? Are we just gullible? Are we just a nation of sheep, following the loudest voice? Are we uneducated or over-educated? Do we suffer from a guilt complex over our success in America and therefore feel the need to sacrifice to atone for the perceived “sin” of luxury and comfort and wealth?

It’s evident that Al Gore doesn’t feel guilty about being wealthy and successful. Take one look at his mansion in Tennessee and his life style and you’ll know immediately that he isn’t sacrificing one thing. If he isn’t worried, then we shouldn’t be. The guru of global warming isn’t worried. What does he know that we don’t? There is no global warming. Period. That’s the only explanation for Gore’s continuing opulent life style.

Need more evidence to feel comfortable about breaking from the fold and living guilt-free?

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2007/dec/19/year-of-global-cooling/

“South America this year experienced one of its coldest winters in decades. In Buenos Aires, snow fell for the first time since the year 1918. Dozens of homeless people died from exposure. In Peru, 200 people died from the cold and thousands more became infected with respiratory diseases. Crops failed, livestock perished, and the Peruvian government declared a state of emergency.

Unexpected bitter cold swept the entire Southern Hemisphere in 2007. Johannesburg, South Africa, had the first significant snowfall in 26 years. Australia experienced the coldest June ever. In northeastern Australia, the city of Townsville underwent the longest period of continuously cold weather since 1941. In New Zealand, the weather turned so cold that vineyards were endangered.

Last January, $1.42 billion worth of California produce was lost to a devastating five-day freeze. Thousands of agricultural employees were thrown out of work. At the supermarket, citrus prices soared. In the wake of the freeze, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger asked President Bush to issue a disaster declaration for affected counties. A few months earlier, Mr. Schwarzenegger had enthusiastically signed the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006, a law designed to cool the climate. California Sen. Barbara Boxer continues to pus
h for similar legislation in the U.S. Senate.

In April, a killing freeze destroyed 95 percent of South Carolina’s peach crop, and 90 percent of North Carolina’s apple harvest. At Charlotte, N.C., a record low temperature of 21 degrees Fahrenheit on April 8 was the coldest ever recorded for April, breaking a record set in 1923. On June 8, Denver recorded a new low of 31 degrees Fahrenheit. Denver’s temperature records extend back to 1872.

Recent weeks have seen the return of unusually cold conditions to the Northern Hemisphere. On Dec. 7, St. Cloud, Minn., set a new record low of minus 15 degrees Fahrenheit. On the same date, record low temperatures were also recorded in Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Extreme cold weather is occurring worldwide. On Dec. 4, in Seoul, Korea, the temperature was a record minus 5 degrees Celsius. Nov. 24, in Meacham, Ore., the minimum temperature was 12 degrees Fahrenheit colder than the previous record low set in 1952. The Canadian government warns that this winter is likely to be the coldest in 15 years.

Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri are just emerging from a destructive ice storm that left at least 36 people dead and a million without electric power. People worldwide are being reminded of what used to be common sense: Cold temperatures are inimical to human welfare and warm weather is beneficial. Left in the dark and cold, Oklahomans rushed out to buy electric generators powered by gasoline, not solar cells. No one seemed particularly concerned about the welfare of polar bears, penguins or walruses. Fossil fuels don’t seem so awful when you’re in the cold and dark. ”

THE ARTICLE ABOVE MAKES A REMARKABLE, BUT SADLY TRUE, OBSERVATION:

THERE IS NO WEATHER OCURRANCE THAT DOESN’T SUPPORT THE GLOBAL WARMING THEORY IN THE MINDS OF DEVOTEES TO THE MOVEMENT.

“In 2005, a Canadian Greenpeace representative explained global warming can mean colder, it can mean drier, it can mean wetter. In other words, all weather variations are evidence for global warming.”

This means that you and I are going to have to FIGHT to prevent these people from forcing their latest cause on the rest of us. We are going to have to fight to prevent them from destroying our life styles and bank accounts. About the time they finally get everything and everyone in line to stop warming, like a school of fish, they’ll suddenly reverse course and start a campaign to stop global cooling. We will be forced to undo everything we were forced to do to fight warming. And again, the same crowd will open businesses to capitalize on that.

Contact your representatives, beginning at the city and county level, where much of the changes are ocurring right now, and tell them you will not support this latest fad.

There is no more time to do nothing.

Obama is Perfect for the United Nations – August 18, 2008

Posted on August 18, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

I watched the interviews of Obama and McCain at Saddleback Church, with Pastor Rick Warren asking very good questions, representative of what Americans want to know. I thought Pastor Warren did an excellent job. Here are a few of my thoughts resulting from this meeting.

Obama studdered too much, making me wonder if he was devising a politically correct answer rather than speaking from the heart with truth.

McCain answered the questions immediately and seemed quite genuine. I felt that I was hearing what he really believes.

Obama’s answers seemed contrived and carefully constructed to avoid going on the record on one side or the other of most issues. After hearing his answers, I still didn’t know what his beliefs were. I’ll have to rely on his past voting record wherever possible.

McCain was clear and concise about what he believes.

Obama seldom looked Warren or the audience straight in the eye while answering questions. And he blinked a lot. That makes me wonder if he can’t look people in the eye because he’s not telling the truth.

McCain looked Warren and the audience straight in the eye with little to no blinking.

Obama said that some people who make a certain amount of money have to carry the rest. Obama wants to know how much everyone makes, so he can even it out, taking from those he deems as rich and giving to those he deems as deserving to receive the rich people’s hard-earned cash.

McCain said he doesn’t want to re-distribute the wealth of Americans. He wants everyone to “get rich”, meaning he wants everyone to be successful and carry their own weight.

Obama said he would not have nominated the Supreme Court Justices that are known to have ruled strictly according to the Constitution. He also said he would not have nominated Chief Justice Clarence Thomas, the first black judge on the Supreme Court. So, helping African-Americans achieve success and high positions in government aren’t as important as he says in his campaign speeches. According to Obama, we should make history by electing the first”real” black president, while knowing that he would not have supported the nomination of the first black Supreme Court Justice, also making history.

McCain said he would not have nominated the Supreme Court Justices that legislate from the bench.

Obama tried to appease both sides when asked about his stance on abortion. But the bottom line for him seemed to be reducing unwanted pregnancies (how in the world?) and making certain that women had health care. So where’s the change? Here is what he said,

“Well, I think whether you are looking at it from a theological perspective or a scientific perspective, answering that question with specificity, you know, is above my pay grade…”

If the decision to fight for the life of babies is above his pay grade, what about the decision to risk the lives of soldiers during times of war? This struck me as a lack of leadership ability.

McCain immediately responded that infants receive human rights at the point of conception, and he believes that Roe vs. Wade was bad law.

Obama said that war and loss of American lives are justified to protect our freedom and to stop genocide. However, he hinted at the invasion of Iraq (where genocide had taken place) as a blunder. He only spoke of genocides in Africa as being worth the loss of American lives.

McCain also said the cost is justified to protect our freedom, our allies where we have treaties and agreements to come to their aid, and to stop genocide, including Iraq.

When asked the following question:

Do you believe that evil exists and if you do, do you believe we should ignore it, negotiate with it, contain it or defeat it?

I’m not sure where Obama came down on that question. He did not answer with any of the four choices proposed to him. He said he believed we must confront it, then said we have to have humility in our approach and proceeded to say that a lot of evil has been perpetrated based on the claim that we were trying to confront evil. I understood him to be referring to the Iraq war and that we are doing evil there while saying we’re confronting evil. (I didn’t like that. It seemed underhanded and he evaded the question as it was asked.) I also wonder how you can confront evil with humility. Will evil take us seriously and back down if we display humility? I don’t think so.

McCain quickly answered “Defeat it.”

In order to write this blog accurately, I had to find the transcripts of the forum and look up Obama’s answers on almost every question because he didn’t answer the questions directly, definitively or with any conviction. His double-speak, political correctness, trying to come down on both sides, talking all around the questions left me wondering what he had said and what does he believe. I couldn’t recall his answers on most of the questions because they were not simple or direct. He seemed to be trying to talk his way out of answering.

On the other hand, I remembered exactly how McCain answered the questions, without looking up any of them. He was direct, simple and decisive. His was a take it or leave it style. For him, he gave us what he believes and if you agree, you will vote for him. If you don’t, you won’t. I liked that much better than Obama’s style.

Obama was confusing and McCain was plain-spoken. I tried to imagine Obama as president negotiating with our enemies. What a nightmare that could be. Would our enemies even understand what he said and meant? Would they come away with the idea that they can play Obama for ever, while continuing with their unacceptable behavior? I think so. Obama is perfect for the United Nations, but not for the White House.

P.S. The Obama camp is floating the rumor that McCain wasn’t really sequestered in the back while Obama was questioned, but in fact, could hear the questions ahead of time – essentially calling Pastor Rick Warren a liar. Boooooo! In fact, Obama was asked a question about creating a plan to help orphans around the world and he answered, “I cheated a little bit. I actually looked at this idea ahead of time….. How did he do that? If he did, why is he worried that McCain heard anything ahead of time?

For the record, Obama liked the idea, while McCain reminded us all that Cindy, his wife, visited Mother Theresa’s orphanage many years ago and brought back two orphans, adopting one herself (with her husband John McCain) and finding friends who would adopt the other. In other words, the McCains have been working on that issue for many years, already.
