NATIONWIDE CHICAGO TEA PARTY! – February 27, 2009

Posted on February 27, 2009. Filed under: Uncategorized |

If you can’t make it to a protest event, one Facebook user has posted the following suggestions for a Virtual Tea Party info:

Many of us were inspired after Rick Santelli gave his speech on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange calling for a Chicago Tea Party.

There will be many events taking place across the country where people are gathering in protest of all of the spending and taxing that has been occurring lately in government. I wanted to offer an opportunity for those of us who have to work to be able to participate.

I want to encourage all of you to stage your own form of a protest at your work. Don’t do anything against your company policy that would get you disciplined or fired.

Here are a few ways that you can participate:

1. Participate in the live tweeting using the #teaparty hashtag.
2. Take part in the Tea Party rally in Second Life.
3. Writing letters to the media, elected officials, etc.
4. Blogging about the Tea Party and the message behind it.
5. Bring bags of tea to work and lay them on your desk. When your co-workers ask you why, explain the reasoning behind the protest and say you are showing your support.
6. Make iced tea for the office and share the message with those you work with.

The last two on that list are things you can do at work to show support, but if you don’t feel comfortable you can still do them, but just not explain your reasoning to your co-workers if you aren’t comfortable or if you don’t work in a really accepting place.

I hope that this offers you a way to participate and I hope to “see” you there!

Have a Virtual Chicago Tea Party on your Facebook Page or MySpace Page. Invite all your friends to join you and post their messages in support of the Chicago Tea Party!

If you attend a Tea Party anywhere in the nation, please post a review of the event online and let everyone know about it. Make signs to take with you. Take lots of photos and post them online. Take video and post it on YouTube. We need tons of video on YouTube and other web sites.

Find a way to wear a tea bag Friday. The tea bag will prompt others to ask you about it. This gives you the opportunity to share your views on the issue and encourage them to attend the Tea Party. It also shows your support of the Parties.

Send this blog’s URL to everyone you know to get the word out.

Sworn to Uphold the Constitution – February 26, 2009

Posted on February 26, 2009. Filed under: Uncategorized |

My Congressman, Hon. Pete Olson (R) of Texas, replied to my letter (posted in Marbie’s previous blog). Read his letter to me below. To refresh your memory, you should re-read my letter first and then see if he answered ANY of my questions to him.

(From Cognressman Olson)

February 26, 2009

Dear __________,

Thank you for contacting me with your concerns regarding President Barack Obama. I appreciate having your views on this important issue.

On Tuesday, November 4, 2008 Senator Barack Obama was elected to the office of the President of the United States and was sworn in on January 20, 2009. While I do not agree with the President on an array of issues, the American people expect Congress to work with the President in a bipartisan manner. I will continue to uphold my conservative principles as we work on policies that benefit America.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact me. I am honored to represent you in the U.S. House of Representatives. If you have any additional questions or concerns please feel free to contact one of my offices or visit my website at www.house.gov/olson <http://www.house.gov/olson> .

Very respectfully,

Pete Olson

Member of Congress

Well, did he answer any of my questions?

Couldn’t he have at least told me who has the responsibility of vetting presidential candidates?

Does anyone else care if the Constitution is upheld besides me?

Practice What I Preach – February 25, 2009

Posted on February 25, 2009. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Here is my letter to my two senators and my Congressman. (Feel free to copy and paste, if you want to use it.)

Hon._____________,

I would like to know if presidential candidates are vetted by someone in the government or by a judge or panel of judges to see if they meet the requirements of our Constitution. Our Constitutional requirements to be eligible for the presidency are there for our protection and must be adhered to, whether we have the opportunity to make history or not. No one should be sworn in unless they have met every requirement and it is a proven fact.

As you have probably guessed, I’m asking if anyone with authority has proven beyond any doubt that Pres. Obama is a natural born citizen of the U.S. My intent is not to stir up more controversy. My intent is to protect the Constitution now and for the future. One exception endangers every generation after us.

Who, in government, checks and proves the eligibility of presidential candidates? Is there proof beyond the shadow of any doubt that Pres. Obama is a natural born citizen, that his true birth certificate is authentic and unaltered and that it proves his place of birth? Has any government agent, in an effort to protect the people and uphold the Constitution, verified that Pres. Obama has never been adopted by an Indonesian step-father, and is in fact, a U.S. citizen?

Why has every law suit seeking to establish Mr. Obama’s eligibility been met with dismissal? Why do the courts “find” that those bringing the suits to prove our president’s eligibility “have no standing” and therefore dismiss the case? I especially want to know the answer to this. Please tell me why a court would not consider that any American citizen has standing to force a president to prove he is Constitutionally eligible to serve as our president? Don’t we have the Constitutional right to know that we are being governed by someone who is eligible? I believe we do.

Why has Mr. Obama sealed his records, except the certificate of birth that has the same little flaw at the top as the known forgery, which has been posted all over the internet?

Please don’t view my inquiry as that of a conspiracy nut who reads too much on the internet. I view this issue as endangering our protections under the Constitution. If one part of it is ignored and broken, and this part is quite a major one, then it sets a precedent for the future crumbling of any part of it.

Many, many people need to know that the man changing our country and our lives so profoundly is eligible to do so.

Sincerely,

Protecting Constitutional Protections – February 25, 2009

Posted on February 25, 2009. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Notice the small black dot a short distance below the letter “e” in the title “Certificate..” This dot appeared on the initial forgery which was only a prop to illustrate how easy it is to make a forged birth certificate. This dot also appeared on Obama’s birth certificate which appeared on his website hours after the forgery appeared on The Daily Kos. It’s also notable that Obama’s B.C. shows the same hour and minute of birth as the forgery. The tech who created the forgery as a prop had no way of knowing that Obama was born 24 mintues past 7:00 pm because Obama had refused to release his B.C. prior to the posting of the prop.

Friends,

If you believe the Constitution was designed to protect American citizens, then you must protect the Constitution from those who want to dismantle it, ignore it or find a way to get around its tenants. Some who want to govern YOU, find a few of those protections “pesky”. They are the ones who insist that the Constitution is a “living” document, so that they can change it any way they want. If that ever happens, there’s nothing to stop them from changing whatever whenever and you’re no longer protected at all.

Even the smallest crack in this wall of protection will allow future deterioration. We must never allow that. The founding fathers of this country understood that only a natural born citizen would have the same concerns and love the freedom we enjoy. And, in order to protect us from infiltrators, they wrote the requirement that only natural born citizens are eligible for the Presidency. You and I must never be governed by a citizen of a foreign country. Who could ever be sure of the allegiance of such a person? Who could ever be sure that such a person would desire to uphold our form of government, our economic and social systems, etc.?

That is why it is of the greatest urgency that we hold our elected representatives responsible for upholding the Constitution to the letter and that they properly and thoroughly vet any candidate for public office, particularly for the president of the United States. If the citizens of this country don’t know if their president is a natural born citizen and aren’t sure that he’s eligible, then our representatives MUST take steps to prove it beyond any doubt.

If and when it’s proven that Mr. Obama is a natural born citizen, beyond any doubt, then we can all rest in confidence. If not, then everything he’s done so far is illegal. This president has made a power grab unlike anything we’ve seen since the Civil War. He’s forced Congress to pass the largest spending bill in history without reading it. He’s taken oversight from government departments and appointed “czars” – his word, not mine – to oversee and report directly to him. In other words, many functions of our government are now run directly in the Oval Office instead of the departments that have always had that responsiblity.

Dictator is a strong word, but it’s meaning is pretty close to what Mr. Obama is doing. He by-passed our elected representatives and signed many executive orders from day one -laws not written or voted on by our legislative branch, which is their Constitutional duty. Wouldn’t it be nice to know if this heavy-handed governor who is spending our money for generations to come like a drunken sailor is actually eligible to be our president? Why are so many afraid to take a serious look into this?

If you value your freedom, your republican form of democracy, your protections under the Constitution, then you must be responsible for contacting your elected representatives and forcing them to defend and uphold – and obey – the Constitution.

Call, write or email yours today. Make it a priority. The day may come – and soon – that you regret not doing so. Let’s just find out who this man is. It can’t hurt and it can help.

Taxing Pot in California????? – February 24, 2009

Posted on February 24, 2009. Filed under: Uncategorized |

People, I’m flabbergasted! Some of the nuttiest stuff in the country comes from California, particularly from San Francisco – Nancy Pelosi country. But this takes the cake.

“An assemblyman from San Francisco announced legislation Monday to do just that: make California the first state in the nation to tax and regulate recreational marijuana in the same manner as alcohol.

Buoyed by the widely held belief that cannabis is California’s biggest cash crop, Assemblyman Tom Ammiano contends it is time to reap some state revenue from that harvest while putting a damper on drug use by teens, cutting police costs and even helping Mother Nature.”

Get out the straight jacket and hunt down Tom Ammiano! How in the world does this cut down on teen use of pot and cut police costs? How does this help Mother Nature? I’m beginning to think ole’ Tom is using this stuff himself and has stupified his brain. When you hear people decrying the innocence of marijuana use and the harmlessness of the drug, you are probably listening to someone who is hooked on it and wants it legalized so they are no longer in jeopardy of going to jail if they get caught. MaryJane defenders are almost always users themselves. They can no longer recognize the danger to themselves and our society by the prolonged use of this weed.

While our brave men and women in the military have been in Afghanistan fighting and dying and trying to stamp out the marijuana fields that support terrorists, especially the Taliban, California has made marijuana their cash crop, just like Afghanistan!!! Who in their right mind believes this is a good idea? It is still a federal offense to grow, transport, buy, sell or use marijuana! Yet California flaunts their total involvement with the illegal drug.

We’re fighting drug cartels on the Arizona and Texas borders and California is growing the stuff! It’s time for California to secede and Arnold to leave the Republican Party and join the Democrats who love any kind of bad behavior. They can Party Gras all year round and the rest of us who are sane and decent can stop supporting their bankrupt conditon – morally and financially. Looks like California is becoming a third-world country, but I don’t want the Democrat strong-hold to take the rest of us down with it.

People in our border states are being killed in the fight against illegal drugs. Our soldiers are being killed in Afghanistan in the fight against illegal drugs, and what is California doing? HELLO!

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15239501/

http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/11/27/asia/AS-GEN-Afghan-Marijuana.php

P.S. Just a little note about the 10 foot plants in the photo:

“We tried burning them with white phosphorus — it didn’t work. We tried burning them with diesel — it didn’t work. The plants are so full of water right nowthat we simply couldn’t burn them,” he said.

Even successful incineration had its drawbacks.

“A couple of brown plants on the edges of some of those (forests) did catch on fire. But a section of soldiers that was downwind from that had some ill effects and decided that was probably not the right course of action,” Hillier said dryly.”

With California facing water shortages and rationing the use of water, who really thinks it’s a good idea to allow marijuana fields to soak up the water and deny it to the people?

California’s dry future

The state may experience a water shortage this year. Residents have no choice but to use less and pay more for it.

Going Green Means Grabbing Money! – February 24, 2009

DEMS COOL ON CLIMATE CHANGE AS ECONOMIC PRESSURES ESCOLATE

(I hope you read the entire article.)

Pelosi (Democrat – Speaker of the House) said earlier this year that she wouldn’t even try to bring up a climate-change bill in 2009 because she lacked the votes. She reversed course last month, telling the San Francisco Chronicle that the House would try to set a vote by December to coincide with a global warming summit in Copenhagen, Denmark.

One reason for the change, Pelosi said, was that the government needed the money it could get from the auctioning off of the emissions permits under a cap-and-trade program.

“I believe we have to because we see that as a source of revenue,” the Chronicle reported her saying.

That depends on how the cap-and-trade program is designed. The more expensive the permits, the more revenue they will bring in, but that will also mean higher costs for business and higher energy prices for consumers.”

You know the government needs more money in light of their spending sprees – ongoing!

TEA FOR BILLIONS? – February 21, 2009

How much is 800 billion dollars?

http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid1155201977/bctid13706418001

Shut up, you chattering class! Just pay the bill and get over it! Obama’s already talking about the next “stimulus” bill.

I’ve always heard that when you’ve dug yourself in a hole, the best way to save yourself is to stop digging.

America ended 2008 with a 10 billion dollar debt. Obama took office and in one month, we now have a trillion dollar debt. And he’s not through yet. He’s telling us that there will necessarily be another “stimulus” bill. He added the mortgage bailout bill of 75 billion dollars and Congress is still talking to the auto makers who have already received billions and are back asking for more. The spigot’s wide open and the President and Democrat Congress are drunk with power.

Our children and grandchildren are being taxed excessively without representation. That’s what caused the Boston Tea Party and it looks like we’re close to another revolt. The citizens have had enough. Their anger had been smoldering beneath the surface, but is now starting to erupt. Schumer had better pay attention. The “chattering classes” have the power of the vote.

CHICAGO TEA PARTY! YES!
