George Washington Prayed – May 07, 2009

America’s first president, the father of our country, George Washington, prayed.

I’m glad he did. He and the others pulled off some miracles that gave the rest of us a chance to live free, happy, productive lives.

Thank you, Mr. Washington. You were a great president!

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER – May 07, 2009

Posted on May 7, 2009. Filed under: Uncategorized |

TODAY IS THE NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER.

BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA CANCELLED IT.

WHY? HE PRAYS PRIVATELY. WELL, DUH. SO DOES EVERYONE ELSE!

This is an afront to people of faith, and notice, I didn’t specify any religion. People of all faiths pray. This was a day for all of them to pray for our nation. He didn’t want to bother with it.

Another aspect of Obama’s character has been revealed in his decision to ditch national prayer for our country. We have so many reasons to pray today. He obviously doesn’t believe in the power of unified, collective prayer for America. He’s displayed a lack of faith.

For those people who are not religious, they shouldn’t care if the rest of us pray. If there is no God, as they believe, then our prayers will accomplish nothing, no God will take any action, and the non-believers have nothing to fear or even give a thought to. So let us do our thing.

For those who object to the National Day of Prayer being observed in the White House because of the so-called, non-existent “separation of church and state”, they should read real history and learn that all of our founding fathers prayed in their Constitutional Convention meetings, deliberations, the U.S. Congress, and held church services in the buildings where Congress met. Some of our fathers were preachers. Most were Christians. They never wrote any separation into the law, except that the government can not force Americans to belong to one particular church, like Britain forced membership in the Church of England.

So, please exercise your freedom while you still have it. It may be taken away from you soon, like all the other freedoms you’ve already lost. Obama is on the march, coming after your money and your freedom.

If ever America needed YOU to pray, it’s today.

Contact everyone you know and ask them to pray for America today.

Justice Denied! – Again & Again – May 04, 2009

Posted on May 4, 2009. Filed under: Uncategorized |

http://worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=96452

“Every passing day Mr. Obama takes executive action that significantly impacts on the lives of Americans. The USA and Obama have already been granted one extension to answer to May 5, 2009. They have therefore been given 77 days to answer,” he said.

“This is enough time for them to answer. With an extension to June 21, 2009, USA and Obama are asking for 124 days and the Congressional defendants are asking for 117 days to answer. Court rules only allow them 60 days. Such delay is not in the national interest and not acceptable,” attorney Mario Apuzzo of New Jersey said.

Government lawyers defending President Obama and Congress in a lawsuit alleging that he’s ineligible to occupy the Oval Office and that members of the House and Senate violated the constitutional rights of citizens by refusing to investigate want still more time to respond to the accusations.

Dozens of lawsuits have been filed “just to get proof that Obama is eliglible to serve as President of the United States. That is not unreasonable. The Constitution calls for it and the people are demanding it. Every court, so far, has DENIED any investigation or demand that proof of eligiblity be supplied to the American people. Congress and the Senate has refused to do their job and investigate his right to be POTUS.

IF OBAMA IS ELIGIBLE, THEN TAKE FIVE MINUTES TO MAKE THE CALLS AND GET THE PROOF IN PUBLIC. THAT KILLS ALL THESE LAWSUITS AND WE CAN ALL MOVE ON.

BUT THEY WON’T DO IT. WHY NOT?

THEY HAVE ALSO SEALED OBAMA’S COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS AS IF THERE WAS SOMETHING TO HIDE THERE, AS WELL.

ALL THIS WHILE RELEASING TOP SECRET DOCUMENTS THAT GIVE OUR ENEMIES KNOWLEDGE OF OUR INTERROGATION TECHNIQUES AND INFLAME OUR ENEMIES AGAINST US FOR THE PURPOSE OF REVENGE ON THE BUSH ADMINSTRATION.

CIA TOP SECRET DOCUMENTS ARE NOT AS TOP SECRET AS OBAMA’S REAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND HIS COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS. NOW WHY IS THAT?

World Net Daily has dozens of articles chronicling the lawsuits for proof of Obama’s eligibility and Obama’s efforts to squelch them.

Arlan Specter Is Still a Lunatic – May 04, 2009

Posted on May 4, 2009. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Arlan Specter said the following:

“Well, I was sorry to disappoint many people. Frankly, I was disappointed that the Republican Party didn’t want me as their candidate,” Mr. Specter said on “Face the Nation.” “But as a matter of principle, I’m becoming much more comfortable with the Democrats’ approach. And one of the items that I’m working on, Bob, is funding for medical research. If we had pursued what President Nixon declared in 1970 as the war on cancer, we would have cured many strains. I think Jack Kemp would be alive today. And that research has saved or prolonged many lives, including mine.”

Did he realize what he said? First, he suggested that we hadn’t researched a cure for cancer and that resulted in Kemp’s death. Then he said that research saved his own life from cancer. Which is it, Sen. (temporarily) Specter? Did we research and prolong and save lives or didn’t we?

This is a horrible political use of Republican Jack Kemp’s death. Specter has proven why he wasn’t too popular with Republicans. He’s just selfish enough to sell out this country to the far-left radicals in the Democrat Party because he wasn’t going to win his primary. That’s not a signal that he cares about what’s best for his country.

This country has been working to find a cure for all cancers. Specter should be ashamed to be so insensitive as to use Jack Kemp’s death for political speak just one day after the annoucement of Kemp’s death. The family is still hurting and Specter’s using it for politics. Shame on this politician. He belongs in the Democrat Party.

Climate Change Legislation, H.R. 1337 – May 01, 2009

Posted on May 1, 2009. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Congressman John Larson, CT, is sponsoring a bill, H.R. 1337, to tax carbon dioxide. This would raise our cost of living significantly, will not affect our climate temperatures one iota, and should not be allowed to pass. It puts more money in the government’s hands to waste like almost every other dollar they’ve found a way to grab, and might even help boost Al Gore’s millions. (Of course, Gore needs more.)

Here is my own email to Rep. Larson: Feel free to copy and paste and PLEASE contact him and your own Congressman/women. Oppose this bill.

Click on “Contact Me” on Rep. Larson’s web site at: http://www.capwiz.com/fconl/webreturn/?url=http://www.larson.house.gov

Hon. John B. Larson,

Sir,
I don’t live in CT, but I’m writing you because you are sponsoring a bill that would affect my state of _______ in a significant way. While everyone loves clean air and supports responsible industry practices, many do NOT accept the man-made global warming/climate change theory. I do not. I also do not believe in global warming or climate change as a crisis, for many reasons, which I won’t try to explain in an email. I have researched this at length and will fight efforts to push through cap and trade, taxing carbon dioxide and other such legislation.

Respectfully, I wonder how many politicians have researched this subject enough and how many have allowed themselves to really listen to both sides of the issue and open-mindedly look at science that doesn’t support man-made climate change.

I do believe that Al Gore is wrong and has set up a money-making company to profit from his Climate Change Crisis business model. I believe that GE is promoting this on its NBC networks for profit. The taxpayers are tired of being fleeced through fear and legislation.

I respectfully ask you to do some hard-core research, as I have.

Police Politicians – May 01, 2009

Posted on May 1, 2009. Filed under: Uncategorized |

http://www.congress.org/congressorg/home/

On this web site, you can sign up to be notified by email for the voting records of your representatives. Then you’re prepared to take action and contact those who are supposed to be serving you, not themselves. Please consider staying informed and take an active role in policing politicians. Give’em grief every time they don’t use their position for the sole reason of representing the citizens and every time they make a power or money grab that they shouldn’t.

The reason politicians are soooo out of control is that we haven’t been paying attention and holding their feet to the fire. However, that is our job. Admittedly, it hasn’t always been easy, but now that we have the internet for research and emailing, there’s little excuse not to fulfill our duty and preserve freedom for ourselves and future generations.

Please pass this information through emailing, and get as many citizens as possible involved with this effort. United we stand. Divided we fall. Right now, we’re in a free-fall. Let’s unite in a common cause – policing politicians!

Political Football – May 01, 2009

Posted on May 1, 2009. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Is it just me, or is Congress sticking it’s nose in places where it has no business? Today, May 1, Congress is spending taxpayer money to examine the college football bowl system.

http://www.timesdispatch.com/rtd/sports/college/college_football/article/BCSG…

The House Energy and Commerce Committee’s commerce, trade and consumer protection subcommittee is holding a hearing today to see how revenue generated by the series is distributed, and the impact that may have on some colleges.

Some in Congress have the notion to pursuade (?) them to switch to a playoff system. Congressman Joe Barton said, “It’s big money. We’re going to start looking into where the money goes.” The bill being considered in Congress now would prevent the NCAA from labeling a game a national championship unless it culminates from a playoff system. Barton said the current system is “more about cartels and revenue sharing” than athletic performance.

Oh really? A lot of taxpayers would say that Congress is more about political cartels and revenue sharing than serving the citizens.

Of course it’s about money. Of course some in the system become more powerful than others. What if the colleges that don’t like the way it’s being done, simply opt out.? Eventually, enough would opt out that it would not be as profitable and changes would be made. No one would be interested in a national championship if the teams only had to defeat four others. Let the system members solve their problems and keep the government out of it. There are no life and death situations in this one.

Under the BCS, some conferences get automatic bids to participate while others do not. Conferences that get an automatic bid — the ACC, Big East, Big 12, Big Ten, Pac-10 and SEC — get about $18 million each, far more than the non-conference schools.

Lobbying

The Mountain West Conference, which does not get an automatic bid, has proposed a playoff system and hired a Washington firm to lobby Congress for changes to the BCS. MWC Commissioner Craig Thompson is scheduled to testify Friday on behalf of the conference.

Swofford, the BCS coordinator, is expected to tell the subcommittee that the bowl system — which includes 34 games — would not survive a playoff system, and that the BCS has contributed to college football’s overall health.

Politicians

The BCS has come under attack from a range of politicians up to President Barack Obama. Last November, as president-elect, he told “60 Minutes” he would prefer an eight-team playoff system.

“I don’t know any serious fan of college football who has disagreed with me on this,” he said. “So I’m going to throw my weight around a little bit.”

In the Senate, Utah Republican Orrin Hatch has put the BCS on the agenda for the Judiciary’s antitrust subcommittee this year, and Utah’s attorney general, Mark Shurtleff, is investigating whether the BCS violates federal antitrust laws.

People in that state were furious that Utah was bypassed for the national championship despite going undefeated in the regular season. The title game pitted No. 1 Florida (12-1) against No. 2 Oklahoma (12-1); Florida won 24-14 and claimed the title.

(By the way, the University of Texas should have been picked instead of Oklahoma, based on their season wins. Texans weres shocked. Maybe that is the real reason Texas Congressman Joe Barton is getting so involved. Who knows?)

It takes a lot of money to convene Congress, generate paperwork, and pay a staff. They should have enough on their plate that is really important for them to handle. Such as the economy???

It’s time Congress got out of a lot things the Constitution and the States never gave them the power to micro-manage. The federal government was never supposed to have any powers not specifically given it by the states and/or the people. But Congress, the Senate and the President just takes whatever power they want. Who’s to stop them?

We can, if we organize, work and get it done. Let’s do it now.
