Jerrol LeBaron, founder of InkTip and Honor in Office, has produced a documentary film about our elected representatives’ deplorable practice of voting for and passing bills that none of them have read. The consequences are well known: Obamacare, TARP, bailouts, ect. Unless we educate ourselves and take some action to stop this, we’re all going to pay the bill with our hard-earned money and loss of freedom.
Watch the trailer and buy the DVD. Then pass the information on to everyone you know. Let’s all put our shoulders to the wheel and get the job done together.
Not only CAN we do this, but we MUST.Read Full Post | Make a Comment ( None so far )
AMERICA IS IN CRISIS. WHAT CAN WE DO?
WILL POLITICIANS HEAR OUR PLEAS? DO THEY HAVE THE SOLUTIONS?
WHO CAN HELP WITH ALL THE NATURAL DISASTERS? WHAT’S COMING NEXT?
WHO CAN RESTORE HOPE FOR THE FUTURE?
WILL YOU BE PART OF THE SOLUTION?
Please join Americans from all across the nation on August 6, 2011 at Reliant Center in Houston, Texas.
The solution is recorded in 2 Chronicles 7:14,
“If My people which are called by My Name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
The solution is to turn from our wicked ways and humbly ask God for forgiveness. If that’s the key, then the crisis must be the result of our sinfulness and must be punishment. Like any father, punishment is measured and administered for the purpose of teaching that sin has consequences. America was once a blessed nation and can be again. TURN FROM OUR WICKED WAYS and SEEK HIS FACE AND FORGIVENESS. That’s the path for returning to a blessed state and a blessed life. Teach it to your children and grandchildren for their sakes.
There will be opposition, as always. No matter how worthy the action, someone always takes issue. Ignore them. Let those people remain in stagnation and crisis. Be one who is coming out and DON’T LOOK BACK.Read Full Post | Make a Comment ( None so far )
In her farewell address to Congress today, former House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, filibustered from the Chair, touting her accomplishments and the miraculous characteristics of Obamacare as if she was identifying her one claim to fame before she fades from the scene. Leaning into the microphone, as if in fear of someone dragging her away, she turned the occasion, which should have been the swearing-in of the new House Speaker, John Boehner, into a celebration of the election of Democrat John Kennedy as president, and her tenure of greatness as former House Speaker. It was painfully reminiscent of former Democrat President Bill Clinton’s all-afternoon-long departure from Washington, D.C.’s presidential limelight.
The Sargeant of Arms of the House, should have grabbed the hook from the coat closet and pulled her off the stage after she launched into her personal aggrandisement and embarrassing effort to appear greater than her successor, while he stood politely behind her, ever the perfect gentleman. While she behaved arrogantly, he conducted himself with humility, dismissing her distasteful mocking of his gavel choice. In her words, “It’s larger than most of the gavels here.” Perhaps he feels the need to remind the House Democrats that he now holds the power of Speaker and that the Republicans now hold the majority, since their interviews on radio and television sounded as if they were not going to acknowledge that.
In both photos, as well as in her speech today, Pelosi sends the message, “It’s all about me! It’s all about me!” Arrogance is a difficult thing to hide.
Contrast her with Speaker Boehner’s demeanor. Even after Pelosi hands him the gavel and the power and respect that accompanies it, she is STILL standing in front of him, monopolizing the podium and the microphone. Boehner’s head is down and his message in one of humbleness, hence the tears when he realizes that America has afforded him the opportunities to rise from nothing to something. He is emotional because he truly appreciates this great country, the freedom we’re all promised and his chance to make a difference in Congress for all of us. House Speaker John Boehner appreciates and loves the Constitution and is humbled by all that it guarantees. He stands there humbly as living proof.
One shows arrogance and a love for power, celebrity, and wealth. The other shows humbleness and a willingness to help others reach their goals and keep their freedom. One is haughty with nose in the air, clinging to the microphone well beyond what was necessary. The other is down-to-earth and mindful that he is no better than the rest of us.
To a thundering and very prolonged applause as he was first introduced as the new Speaker of the House, John Boehner, the man, said, “It’s still just me.”Read Full Post | Make a Comment ( None so far )
Let’s remember and restore our roots and the foundation of America, not as revisionists have portrayed it, but as it actually occurred.
First Prayer of the Continental Congress, 1774
O Lord our Heavenly Father, high and mighty King of kings, and Lord of lords, who dost from thy throne behold all the dwellers on earth and reignest with power supreme and uncontrolled over all the Kingdoms, Empires and Governments; look down in mercy, we beseech Thee, on these our American States, who have fled to Thee from the rod of the oppressor and thrown themselves on Thy gracious protection, desiring to be henceforth dependent only on Thee. To Thee have they appealed for the righteousness of their cause; to Thee do they now look up for that countenance and support, which Thou alone canst give. Take them, therefore, Heavenly Father, under Thy nurturing care; give them wisdom in Council and valor in the field; defeat the malicious designs of our cruel adversaries; convince them of the unrighteousness of their Cause and if they persist in their sanguinary purposes, of own unerring justice, sounding in their hearts, constrain them to drop the weapons of war from their unnerved hands in the day of battle!
Be Thou present, O God of wisdom, and direct the councils of this honorable assembly; enable them to settle things on the best and surest foundation. That the scene of blood may be speedily closed; that order, harmony and peace may be effectually restored, and truth and justice, religion and piety, prevail and flourish amongst the people. Preserve the health of their bodies and vigor of their minds; shower down on them and the millions they here represent, such temporal blessings as Thou seest expedient for them in this world and crown them with everlasting glory in the world to come. All this we ask in the name and through the merits of Jesus Christ, Thy Son and our Savior.
Reverend Jacob Duché
Rector of Christ Church of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

First, Obama has to convince everyone in America that the greatest health care in the world is a “mess.” It is NOT.
Then he has to convince everyone in America that someone else, namely his opponents, made that mess. There is NO mess to be responsible for.
Then he has to scare enough Americans into begging the government to take care of them, as only HE can do it.
The problem Obama is encountering is that most Americans are taking care of themselves and do NOT want the government to get in their personal business.
Obama wants his opponents to get out of his way and shut up.
Americans want the government to get out of our way and Obama to shut up.
This president has shown in six agonizing months that he has little regard for the First Amendment/FREE SPEECH, including political speech, the Second Amendment/Gun Ownership Rights, The Fourth Amendment/Search and Seizure Protections, has side-stepped the oversight of Congress on Cabinet appointees by hiring czars who report only to him, and has tried to bypass the people’s will by forcing their elected officials to vote on bills they haven’t read, in such a short time as to prohibit our representatives from learning what is contained in the bills they vote on. All-in-all, a flagrant disregard of the United States Constitution.
This can not be out of ignorance, as the president has boasted many times that he taught Constitutional law at Columbia University. He simply prefers a dictatorship, or so it seems. This whole “We the People” thing is getting in his way, making it harder to construct his version of Otopia in America.
We the People will not stand for it. We will stand for our system of self-government and self-reliance, keeping our freedom which we hold more dear than any “topias”.
Any person who does not care to abide by the Constitution of the United States is living in the wrong country, for this document will stand as long as Americans have breath in their bodies. Obama is nothing more than a blip in American history. The day will come when he is gone from the scene and we will all have to live with the messes he created. The smartest action to take is to nip it in the bud right now. Limit the amount of damage this one man can do in four years. Stand and fight just as tenaciously as any military soldier would in a field of fierce battle. This is our plight. This is our fight.
Be vigilant. Be wise. Be strong. Be free.
