Remember the “Motor Voter Law” passed by Democrats and signed into law by Bill Clinton?  Bet you didn’t know this:

“This voter registration movement was spearheaded by the husband and wife team of Frances Fox Piven and Richard Cloward in the early 1980s in response to the Reagan administration. Both of them college professors and liberal activists.” Both of them involved in Alinksy radicalism. Still at it today. Obama embraced Alinsky, Cloward and Piven beliefs.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Voter_Registration_Act_of_1993

What’s the implication of involvement of Cloward and Piven? This:
“First proposed in 1966 and named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, the Cloward-Piven Strategy seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse. Obama attended Columbia U and is carrying this out right in front of us, brazenly destroying our economy. ”

Have you noticed that there is crisis after crisis after crisis, since Obama was first elected in 2008? Each one is said to be devastating if Congress doesn’t pass some big money bill to solve it.  The results are trillions in debt, ailing economy, job losses, businesses closing. Capitalism is under attack.  If it fails, what will replace it? Socialism, Marxism, Dictatorship, something less than our Constitutional republic?

“In their 1966 article, Cloward and Piven charged that the ruling classes used welfare to weaken the poor; that by providing a social safety net, the rich doused the fires of rebellion. Poor people can advance only when “the rest of society is afraid of them,” Cloward told The New York Times on September 27, 1970. Rather than placating the poor with government hand-outs, wrote Cloward and Piven, activists should work to sabotage and destroy the welfare system; the collapse of the welfare state would ignite a political and financial crisis that would rock the nation; poor people would rise in revolt; only then would “the rest of society” accept their demands.

The key to sparking this rebellion would be to expose the inadequacy of the welfare state. Cloward-Piven’s early promoters cited radical organizer Saul Alinsky as their inspiration. “Make the enemy live up to their (sic) own book of rules,” Alinsky wrote in his 1989 book Rules for Radicals. When pressed to honor every word of every law and statute, every Judeo-Christian moral tenet, and every implicit promise of the liberal social contract, human agencies inevitably fall short. The system’s failure to “live up” to its rule book can then be used to discredit it altogether, and to replace the capitalist “rule book” with a socialist one.”

“Cloward and Piven calculated that persuading even a fraction of potential welfare recipients to demand their entitlements would bankrupt the system. The result, they predicted, would be “a profound financial and political crisis” that would unleash ‘powerful forces for major economic reform at the national level’.”

“Their article called for “cadres of aggressive organizers” to use “demonstrations to create a climate of militancy.” Intimidated by threats of black violence, politicians would appeal to the federal government for help.

“This was an example of what are commonly called Trojan Horse movements — mass movements whose outward purpose seems to be providing material help to the downtrodden, but whose real objective is to draft poor people into service as revolutionary foot soldiers; to mobilize poor people en masse to overwhelm government agencies with a flood of demands beyond the capacity of those agencies to meet. The flood of demands was calculated to break the budget, jam the bureaucratic gears into gridlock, and bring the system crashing down.   Fear, turmoil, violence and economic collapse would accompany such a breakdown — providing perfect conditions for fostering radical change.

“Cloward and Piven recruited a militant black organizer named George Wiley to lead their new movement.”  Beginning to sound like what we’re watching today?

“Both Cloward and Piven attended the White House signing of the 1996 Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act as guests of President Clinton.

“Both the Living Wage and Voting Rights movements depend heavily on financial support from George Soros‘s Open Society Institute and his Shadow Party.”

(Unlikely to improve on the writings in these two cited articles, I chose to post excerpts from them, adding only a little commentary here and there. I sincerely hope you go to these articles and read them in their entirety. It’s important that our elected officials and influential people like Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, and many others, be sent this information.  Send it to your state governors and elected officials, too, because they fight on the front lines to stop this onslaught.  They need to know and expose it before it’s too late.)

IT’S NOT A CONSPIRACY.  IT’S A FACT!

A SHOCKER – in Installments – #1 Global Warming/Climate Change

Gaia

(Note that Obama says he supports coal and proposed a coal-to-liquid bill, then says he will make it so expensive that coal plants will go out of business, then says billions of dollars will be generated by making coal plants pay for emission credits, but how can this be if this drives them out of business – at that point, they generate nothing but misery in lost jobs and a shortage of energy to drive the economy and our lives.  Is he a schizophrenic?)

I am re-posting a series of global warming/climate change (GW/CC) articles I originally posted, beginning May 14, 2008.  There were fifiteen.  Keep in mind as you read them that they were written over one year ago.  I may choose to update some things.

I’m posting them again because the information is not being reported anywhere.  I searched the internet for many, many hours, days and weeks to find what is behind the GW/CC movement around the world.

I know that the premise is false and that the so-called science is junk.  The people who are advocating that the whole world adopt new laws to govern the population in the name of GW/CC  are smart enough to know what I know.  So I wondered why they work so hard for this legislation.  An old saying came to mind, “Follow the money”.  Once again, this proved to be true, but with an added twist, “Who will get power?”.

I discovered who is behind this movement, what their background is as it regards GW/CC and how they stand to profit in  wealth and/or power.  Every day, more people get on board.  The average citizen does so because they believe the massive propaganda campaign.  Students do because they don’t yet question what’s taught in their schools, not even at the college level.  There’s  little critical thinking, only blind followers – like lemmings, all marching off the cliff of no return.

You don’t have to be a scientist to figure this out.  Just do your own research and use common sense like you do with everything else in life.   Check up on what I’ve presented here.   I found it all on the internet.  I looked for credible resources.  Then, if you decide to join in the fight against cap and trade laws in America, and signing treaties that will usurp the sovereignty of the United States, feel free to copy, paste and print these posts and mail them to your representatives for their consideration.  That’s what I plan to do.  And there’s little time to waste.  We have to fight hard NOW.

Don’t misunderstand the pupose.  It’s to defeat  the loss of U.S. sovereignty and the loss of citizens’ freedoms and individual liberties protected by the U.S. Constitution.  It’s to defeat laws that will bankrupt the coal industry among many others, raise the cost of electricity to skyhigh levels,  kill the jobs of thousands of working Americans, raise the prices of all goods and services and eventually bankrupt ordinary citizens of America.

All of us can still be good stewards of the planet, and we should.

This man has common sense.  I hope we all do.

A SHOCKER! – in Installments – May 14, 2008

I like to write Marbie’s Blog every day, but haven’t been able to do so for the last two or three days, because I learned something you need to know about and it’s too much information to put in one article. I decided to start at the beginning and develop a complete picture, so I had to do some more research. But the more I researched, the more “stuff” I found that you need to be aware of. I think you will be shocked as I was when you finally have all the facts. At this point, I can’t predict how many articles this story will require. I’ve decided to stop “preparing” and just jump in. I hope you will come back every day for the next “installment” and as a result, be a well informed citizen and voter. This installment lays a necessary foundation and may not seem important at first. Trust me. It will be important to you whether you accept it or not. So here goes.

Installment 1.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Gaia Click on the sound icon for the pronunciation. It is “jee-uh.”

Gaia is a mythological PAGAN goddess believed to be “Mother Earth.” Rather than go into the roots of the idol, I suggest you “Google” the subject and learn about the beliefs associated with “Gaia”. http://www.enviropaedia.com/topic/default.php?topic_id=114

To summarize, the Earth is a single living entity and every living thing is part of it. People, animals, plants, terra firma, water, air, sky, all parts of the single living Earth. Mother Earth supports and nourishes us all. In ancient times, believers in this pagan religion held ceremonies to honor Gaia in sacred groves of trees (tree huggers?).

You might have thought that pagan religions died out centuries ago with the “enlightenment” of collegiate education. NOT SO!   Gaia is alive and flourishing right in our midst, and not on a small scale, but worldwide – in places you would never imagine.

It made its comeback in the 1960’s when James Lovelock, an atmospheric scientist, was working for NASA on the Viking Space Project looking for life on Mars. In deciding what methods would be used to test for life on Mars, he considered systems and procedures of life on Earth and began to view them all as part of one big living organism. Novelist William Golding suggested that he name his newly discovered theory “Gaia”. In 1979, together with Lynn Margulis and others, he wrote his hypothesis in a book: Gaia: A New Look at Life on Earth. The Gaia Hypothesis was born.

As a side note, Ge, Ga or Gaia was the Greek Goddess of the earth; the root of the word can be traced in the names of earth science such as geography and geology.

“The hypothesis proposes that life does not act in isolation but in concert with all natural events. Our world is compared to a single organism, in which life is intrinsic to the operation of global systems, to the extent that it modifies and is modified by the global environment, in order to maximize successful interactions. Gaia is the first Western scientific model to describe the planet and the biosphere as an integrated, self-regulating organism. The planet is not viewed simply as a dead rock with individual life forms tenuously hanging on, but as a repository of raw materials that has been altered by all the varieties of life and environment over the last 3.5 billion years. Gaia is a mix of rocks, gases, radiation, liquids, magnetism, movement and life that is bound together in its complexity, forming an interconnected web. When any aspect is altered, adjustments are made in the system in order to move in the direction of homeostasis or toward beneficial change. Thus the Gaian matrix is sustained and constantly evolves in myriad ways through its integral self-regulatory systems.” “Gaia” by Glenn Ashton – Ekogaia Foundation, http://www.enviropaedia.com/topic/default.php?topic_id=114

homeostasis – the ability of a system to keep itself stable or sustained

The words “sustained or sustainable” will come up again in our discussion and will become a part of your life in the not so distant future. Unless……
