Mama Sarah on Her Grandson – November 19, 2008

Obama’s Kenyan grandmother has been interviewed several times and some have made their way to You Tube. Her story doesn’t always match that of the Obama campaign.

An interview with Obama’s grandmother in Kenya. Did she mean that Obama’s parents weren’t married and it was known in America? Listen closely to what she says about Obama near the end of the interview.

A Honolulu circuit judge heard vigorous arguments in the lawsuit filed by Obama author Andy Martin. Martin is seeking access to Barack Obama’s original, typewritten 1961 birth certificate. The judge reserved judgment.

“We had about a half-hour hearing,” Martin states. “Both the Attorney General and I vigorously presented our respective positions. The Court gave no indication of when or how the ruling could come or what the result will be.

“I have ordered a transcript of the hearing and as soon as it arrives we will post it on our blogs. People should be able to read the arguments in Court. Rather than characterize what was said, I will allow everyone to review the presentation for themselves.

The New Jersey case was denied by Justice David Souter, but his case is still pending as an emergency stay application. He’s resubmitting his request for an emergency stay of the national election results and electoral college meeting to Justice Clarence Thomas.

Unconfirmed reports of lawsuits filed in Utah, Wyoming, Florida, New York, North Carolina, Texas, California (we know about this one mentioned in yestereday’s post), and Virginia requesting court orders to verify Obama’s citizenship status.

An Obama campaign spokeswoman said, “All I can tell you is that it is just pure garbage.”

I, for one, am glad someone is doing something to insure that the Constitution is being upheld. If Obama is a legal natural born citizen and eligible, then we can all relax. If he isn’t, I don’t want the Constitution trampled and set a terrible precedent. The way Obama attained his political offices in Illinois was by challenging his opponents eligibility and the number of signatures on their applications. He successfully knocked them off the ballots and took the office. Wouldn’t it be ironic if the same thing happened to him now?

We’ll wait and see how it all turns out.
