Obama Scrubbed! – November 10, 2008

What could it mean that Obama has “scrubbed” his Change.gov transition web site and removed his sweeping campaign promises? Why not leave them there so that voters can compare what he actually does to what he promised?

According to Stephen Dinan’s article in the Washington Times online today, his extensive and very specific promises have been replaced with “one vague paragraph proclaiming a plan ‘to revive the economy, to fix our health care, education and social security systems, to define a clear path to energy independence, to end the war in Iraq responsibly and finish our mission in Afghanistan, and to work with our allies to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, among many other domestic and foreign policy objectives.”

Sounds exactly like the expressed desires of Pres. George W. Bush. He wanted all these same things, but the Democrat-controlled Congress and Senate blocked almost every effort, criticizing the President incessantly. Real “change”, Mr. Obama.
