Richard Branson’s Footprint – August 05, 2008

Posted on August 5, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

The difference between Richard Branson and you, unless you’re a billionaire, is that he flies fancy planes and drives very fast race cars, then pays one of his enterprises (or one of Al Gores’s enterprises) for the privilege of a pretty hefty carbon footprint. Then, voila, money-in-hand, everything’s alright with the world. He’s not the dastardly American, or Brit, polluting the skies and burning that cursed fossil fuel. He’s “all good.”

On the other hand, you drive a normal vehicle, burning much less fuel than a speculation aircraft or super fast race car, on your way to work, the grocery store and taking your kids to school, and YOU ARE THE ENEMY OF THE PLANET! YOU HAVE DESTROYED THE ENVIRONMENT, ROBBED YOUR FOURTH-GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN OF AIR TO BREATHE, AND PUT THIS FRAGILE PLANET AT RISK OF ANNIHILATION IN TEN SHORT YEARS.

YOU HAVEN’T FORKED OVER ENOUGH MONEY TO THE GORE TYPES TO PRETEND YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT HAS BEEN SOMEHOW ERASED – AT LEAST FROM THE MINDS OF THOSE IN POWER.

That’s where the global warming/climate change hoax is dangerous. It effectively ends democracy. A few are in power over the masses, selling permission to exist, dictating what the masses can drive, when, where, how the masses can fly, how hot in the summer and cold in the winter the masses must live after setting their thermostats at the REQUIRED temperatures, which light bulbs can be burned in everything, how you throw out your garbage, how much you must pay for the right to live, etc., etc., etc. The cost of everything increases due to the layers of “green” requirements added to the manufacturing, the retailing and the use of every product in our lives.

The biggest sticking point is the “permission” aspect of going green. You no longer have freedom. You no longer have choice. You are not one of the lucky ones in power over the masses. You are the masses being herded, corraled, blamed, suspected and fined for every aspect of your normal, everyday life. Just to exist, you pay. Just for existing, you are blamed. Humans who don’t want to live like cave men are destroying the planet. It’s so very fragile. We should all remember that tip-toeing on the earth would make a much gentler and smaller “footprint.” And don’t forget paying Al Gore and his crowd for the right to live.

Keep that in mind every time you hear a politician talk about forcing cap and trade on America and the rest of the world. It means capping what the masses are allowed to do and trading the right to do it. So nothing’s changed. Just the swapping of money, with it all flowing into the bank accounts of the guys who dreamed up the scam.

There is no more time to do nothing.
